Question & Answer

Hi! I've been stalking your comic for a few years now.. thought I'd finally ask you a question! It's my understanding that your day job is also one as an artist, in video games or something? I know Lackadaisy isn't a total breadwinner for you, and you've expressed appreciation for being able to collaborate with many fellow artists daily. If Lackadaisy were more finance positive, would you set your day job aside to do it full-time? I am surprised it isn't more profitable for you, honestly.

Yeah.  Game artist, though lately I’m doing more managing than I am doing art.

And yes…or, well, I had very much hoped at one point that I might be able to support myself with the comic, but that turned out to be unrealistic in my situation.  I’ve made a lot of mistakes in my approach and, earnings-wise, it’s never been anywhere near the ballpark to justify making the leap to full-time, so I’ve pretty well relinquished that idea.
